Lunchtime in London. A time when the city streets flood with workers all looking to find that perfect food fix to keep their energy levels at a premium for the rest of the day. Depending on what you crave & how much time you have to enjoy lunch, picking somewhere to eat in the city can be a difficult task. A short (& brisk in the winter cold) walk from Aldgate East station sits us here at Treves & Hyde, where the winter Express Menu has just been launched.
The Express Menu sees a delicate selection of dishes from Head Chef George Tannock, as he fuses his Mediterranean roots & British ingredients to create seasonal plates ideal for a cold winters day in the city.
The Express Menu allows you to choose 2 courses for £16 & compliment your meal with a glass of wine for £4 extra. To start, the Jerusalem Artichoke soup and trampette mushrooms is a smooth & warming starter to get the taste buds tangling or choose another option such as seared salmon & avocado mousse or the honey glazed smoked pork belly & kohlrabi, both popular dishes off the “a la carte” menu. Follow up your starter with either the confit duck leg served with mashed potatoes and cabbage, tiger prawn & strozapetti pasta or a vegetarian option of baked golden beetroot & baby fennel.
Served throughout the week, the express menu offers the opportunity for you to enjoy exceptional food with a story behind every dish for a competitive price & flavours to suit every palette!. Why not try one of our unique cocktails while you visit as well?
